Meditation is the penultimate stage of the process of yoga, which when perfected, leads to the final blissful state of samadhi. A commonly asked question is What do we do in meditation? Honestly, meditation can not be ‘done’. We can concentrate but meditation happens by default at the deepest level of concentration when the subject and object of meditation become one. Where the one who meditates merges into the object of meditation.

In our classes, we lead the participants into a deep state of ‘calm’ concentration. This, when correctly done, enables them to move into ‘stillness’ – a heightened level of concentration. When this state is mastered and becomes consistent, it leads to a meditative state which, in turn, brings about a harmonious balance in the body and mind. This is how one is able to be achieve a state of stability in thoughts and emotions.
